|
The preparation for Dickens Night takes months of hard work and organisation. It is thanks to the dedicated efforts of a few individuals on the Committee who give their time freely throughout the year to ensure that this remains the premier community event in the town's calendar!
Throughout the year local businesses and individuals get involved in a number of events to help raise funds to support the running of Dickens Night. This is also aided by donations of money, services and prizes, made by businesses, organisations and traders. It takes approximately £10,000 to stage the entire event, and it takes a year of hard work to raise these funds. | When everything comes together on the night, revellers can enjoy, rides, tombolas, puppet shows, clowns, big bands, market stalls and of course the grand firework finale.
Firework Finale
The grand finale of the night takes place at about 9pm. Jubilee Fireworks, grand masters of pyrotechnic displays, ensure a fabulous finish to a fantastic night.
The themed firework display tells an exciting visual story with accompanying music. Dickens Night 2008 is proud to present Jubilee Fireworks display theme Sci-Fi-reworks. With 20 years of experience and numerous awards, Jubilee Fireworks deliver a show to exceed all expectations.
So why not come along and join in the fun at this years Dickens Night. |
