civic guests leave from the memorial hall to his grotto off the Market
Square led by the Chinese Lions, then proceed around the Market Square
to the main stage outside Martin's, Long Street
5.00pm Speeches from the Chairman of
Dickens Night Committee Peter Farrugia and Town Council Mayor Ray Jarvis
and Town Christmas Light switch on by Ray Jarvis
Pinxtons Puppets performing throughout the evening by the library in Long Street
Samba Band performing throughout the evening on the Memorial Hall arena and Market Square Arena
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Club Choir performing throughout the evening on the main stage outside Martins, Long Street and Market Square stage
Street Icons Comunity Dance Project performing throughout the evening on the Memorial Hall arena and Market Square Arena
8.00pm ish Angel Inn Public House, Fireworks, Market Square
9.00pm Fireworks Finale Fireworks to music, located at the Memorial Hall end of Long Street over the Co-op car park. The best viewing position is in front of the white heart visitor centre so that you can see the ground fireworks in the station yard as well as the aerial fireworks over the midland co-op building.
